Fujitsu experts evaluate whether the target Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres database is running at optimum efficiency required by the customers, as when they first installed it.
The desired outcome is that the customer understands potential issues related to performance degradation and/or security risks, and get necessary information for planning to follow best practices.
Service elements
This service includes but are not limited to the following:
- System diagnostics
- Identify potential issues such as memory overflows, CPU and I/O bottlenecks, and network traffic and connection issues.
- Evaluation of the OS configuration
- I/O scheduling, and tuning of memory, buffer/cache, security and network
- Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres setup analysis
- Audit of Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres memory use, and evaluate suitability of current hardware configuration
- Feasibility evaluation for upgrading to the latest version of Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres
- Storage infrastructure analysis
- Verify the effectiveness of storage configuration upgrades
Testing and implementation on the target environment is out of scope of this service.
